zgodba mojega poroda / the story of my birth

Overview

"Zgodba mojega poroda" is a project that gives voice to families. In the organization of Slovenian postnatal care, experts are involved, but not the 20,000 families who annually bring a new child into the world in Slovenia. Their voices matter, their experiences count, as pregnancy and childbirth are events that individuals experience a few times in their life and have a significant impact on the physical and mental health of society.

Goals and Activities

  1. Survey Project Target Group
    • The project will focus on parents who have given birth in the last 5 years within Slovenia. A survey will be completed by at least 1000 individuals. Based on the survey responses, a detailed report will be prepared and presented to responsible institutions and associations. The report will propose the formation of a working group that will be tasked with identifying areas for improvement, suggesting measures, and ensuring their implementation. The working group will include representatives of the users, meaning parents. They expect support from at least three key stakeholders.
  2. Communication Tool for Health Professionals
    • Parallel to the main task, a communication tool for health professionals will be developed, and awareness will be raised on social media. They expect at least 500 shares, 30,000 reach, 10,000 visits, and 2,000 interactions.

Expected Outcomes

  • A detailed report based on survey responses that highlights the need for changes in Slovenian postnatal care, presented to decision-makers and associations.
  • Formulation of a working group to develop and propose improvements based on survey feedback.
  • Communication tool for engaging with healthcare staff and raising awareness of postnatal care issues through social media channels.
