In 2022, total NGOs’ revenue represented 2.11 % of Slovenian GDP. In recent years, this share has mostly been fluctuating. 2017 was the only year since 2012 when it increased in comparison to the previous year, but it hasn't yet reached the pre-crisis era. Fluctuations continued between 2018 and 2020. And in 2022 it has reached its highest level so far. This share of revenue of NGO's in GDP is much lower than in other countries. According to the latest major Johns Hopkins International Comparative Study from 2013, the global average is 4.13 %, and the EU average is 3.8 %.
